Larry Blake Funeral Services

Lawrence L. Blake, a longtime Hightstown firefighter and life member of the department passed away Friday, March 15th, 2024. Throughout his service to our community Lawrence carried innumerable titles rising to the highest levels of leadership as Chief of the Fire Department, President of the Fire Department, and Superintendent of Hightstown Public Works.
To his close friends and family members he was known simply as “Larry” or “Blakey” and his most cherished titles were friend, mentor, and leader. The legacy that Larry leaves behind through his selfless service to our community is quite literally beyond measure. Larry is forever immortalized through his countless projects on Hightstown’s water system, roads, parks, firehouse, and more. Larry’s humor and stories will long be remembered by many of us.
We mourn this monumental loss but celebrate the magnificent achievement of his life that triumphantly reverberates in our conscientiousness through water towers and the blaring of a siren. We will always be grateful for his lifelong dedication to Station 41 and the Borough of Hightstown.
Viewing services will be on Wednesday, March 20th from 5:00PM-8:00PM, at Barlow-Zimmer Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ with fireman’s service at 7:30PM.
